Chief of Police Welcome Message

On behalf of the men and women of the New Milford Police Department I would like to welcome you to our new and improved website! This new website format is a part of our visionary focus to continually strive to improve the services that we offer to our community. We are a police department that is on the move and we are ready to work with the community to continue to keep New Milford safe.

Our vision includes implementing community based programs, enhanced investigative efforts and specialty teams to address the needs and concerns of the community.  In the coming months you will see an increased police presence in our downtown area. This presence will include, opening of our police substation on Railroad St., officers walking the beat, riding bikes and interacting with citizens, businesses and our youth. This effort will also extend to our town parks and onto Candlewood Lake, where our boat patrol will conduct community policing safety efforts on the lake.

In addition, we have renewed our commitment to the Eagle helicopter program, we will continue to improve our SCUBA Team, K-9 Team, Bike Patrol, Boat Patrol, Honor Guard and Accident Investigation Team.

We will use this video to attract the best and brightest applicants to protect and serve our great community. The video will also serve to highlight our professional and dedicated staff and to show the community the high quality police services that we provide.

As your Chief of Police, I am honored to serve this great community and I am proud of our officers and staff, who are dedicated to keeping you, your family and our community safe.
